AppControler MCP & API setup guides

AppControler exposes your workspace's AI-tool inventory as an MCP server and a REST API. Connect an assistant and ask things like “list every high-risk AI app connected to our workspace” or “which contract act-by dates are coming up?” — or automate the same answers with n8n and Zapier.

Choose your setup guide

Two ways to connect — both hit the same tools

  • OAuth sign-in — for Claude and ChatGPT custom connectors. Click connect, sign in to AppControler in the browser, approve once. No keys to copy.
  • MCP API key — for clients that let you set a header directly (Cursor, Claude Code, Windsurf, VS Code) and for workflow tools like n8n and Zapier. Create a key in Integrations → MCP / API keys and send it as Authorization: Bearer acp_….

Server URL for every setup: https://appcontroler.com/api/mcp

What the assistant can do

Every connection — OAuth or key — exposes the same workspace tools:

ToolWhat it answers
list_ai_appsList every app discovered in the workspace, filtered by risk, policy, or AI-only
get_app_usersSee who authorized a specific app with company sign-in
get_policy_summaryPolicy mode plus approve / review / block counts
list_upcoming_act_bysContract notice dates and act-by windows coming up
set_app_policyApprove, review-flag, or block an app
get_sync_statusWhen the last workspace discovery sync ran
